Diversified Radiologist Honored with ACR Fellowship Designation
Dr. John Lewin, a pioneer in women’s imaging, has just been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR). According to the ACR, “The honor of Fellow is given to those with truly distinctive accomplishments beyond the high threshold of achievement expected of all College members. Only 12% of active College members have been awarded this honor.”
Further, Dr. Lewin will be teaching at the 2011 RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting on the emerging future of digital mammography, where he will share his expertise with the objectives of:
1) Understanding advances in digital mammography techniques and technology and how they can be applied to clinical practice.
2) Accessing the results of new clinical research in digital mammography, tomosynthesis and contrast-enhanced digital mammography and assessing their potential applications to future clinical practice.
3) Assessing the potential of technological innovations and advances involving digital mammography to enhance clinical practice and problem-solving.
As ACR Fellowship is one of the highest honors the ACR bestows, all of us at Diversified Radiology wish to congratulate Dr. Lewin for this prestigious designation. His diligent work over the years has been vital in the detection and eradication of women’s disease internationally. He will be officially inducted in April, 2012.
